The Slack integration will allow you and your team to privately view a list of who's working right now or any time today. You can do this by typing _/assembled now_ in any channel or DM in Slack.

## How do I add Assembled to Slack?

- Make sure you have a Slack account in the workspace you'd like to connect to. Depending on your workspace's permissions, you may need to request approval from the Workspace Owner. See the official Slack [page](https://get.slack.help/hc/en-us/articles/202035138-Add-an-app-to-your-workspace) for more details.

- You should be able to select Slack as an integration from [_Configure > Third-party Integrations_](https://app.assembledhq.com/settings/integrations?tab=available), as below.

- Click the `Connect integration` button on the Slack panel and you should be forwarded to a Slack-hosted page with an authorization screen similar to below.

- Click `Authorize` and you should be again redirected back to Assembled's settings page. If the authorization was successful, you should see the details as below.

## How does the Assembled for Slack integration work?

1. Open Slack

2. Type the command `/assembled now` into any Slack conversation.

3. Slack will respond with a list of people who are currently staffed. The list will include “First Last / \[event type\] (duration of the given event)”.

**Note**: This message will only be visible to you.
